Job summary

Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, has an immediate opening for a full-time Facility Attendant on the 3rd shift in southeastern Connecticut. The Residential Aide participates in supervising residents, ensures safety and engagement, and enforces program policies for residents and the facility.

The position requires a High School Diploma, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to obtain a public service endorsement within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Experience in social services, residential treatment, or custodial supervision desired.
• Valid driver’s license with MVR acceptable to organization, including no DUI/DWI in past seven years.
• Public service endorsement or ability to obtain endorsement within 30 days of hire (preferred).

Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adults in southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas. We offer medical detox as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location. Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients. We accept private insurance, state-funded plans and self-pay arrangements.

Job Summary

The Residential Aide participates in the supervision and operation of the unit to ensure resident safety and engagement and building/grounds security. Implements all Program and Institute policies and procedures pertaining to the safety and security of residents, Institute property and the community.

This is a full-time, 3rd shift position. Rotating weekends required.
