Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establish preventive maintenance procedures and schedules per manufacturer recommendations and reliability history.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors/contractors for maintenance and services.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records using Maximo CMMS.
• Assist with general facility maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and painting.
• Escort contractors on site and support security systems and access control.

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Facilities Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Pomona, CA 91767. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Details:

• Pay: 24-26/hr to Start.
• 1-year, possibility for conversion/extension based on performance and business needs.
• Monday – Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm. (Onsite)
• The position will be mainly responsible for Provides maintenance, mechanical and electrical performance for the facilities and utilities equipment at the site including: Vacuum, Compressed Air, Emergency Generation, Power, City and Well Water, HVAC Equipment.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility and utility equipment, including HVAC, vacuum systems, compressed air, emergency generators, electrical power, and water systems.
  • Establish and follow preventive maintenance procedures and schedules based on manufacturer recommendations, equipment manuals, and reliability history.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and outside contractors for equipment maintenance, repairs, and facility services.
  • Maintain and update preventive maintenance records using the computerized maintenance management system (Maximo).
  • Perform general facility maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, flooring, painting, drywall patching, plumbing, electrical wiring, lighting, ceilings, doors, and piping.
  • Assist with HVAC troubleshooting, minor equipment installations, small facility projects, and buildouts.
  • Escort contractors and vendors onsite and support site security systems, including badging, access control, and CCTV.
  • Assist with furniture moves, conference room setups, and other facility needs.
  • Provide maintenance support, training, and mentoring to other facilities technicians as needed.
  • Document maintenance activities and communicate updates, results, and issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, quality standards, and applicable ISO, FDA, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a medical, healthcare, or regulated environment.
• Strong background in general carpentry and facility maintenance.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical installations, and general building repairs is preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), such as Maximo, is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take on multiple tasks and responsibilities.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment when making quality-related decisions.
