Job summary

Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking 3 Part-time Facilities Workers for the Prestonsburg Campus. Shifts are 9:00-1:00 and 2:00-6:00, with duties including grounds maintenance, event setup, and custodial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds, plants, water, reseeds landscape and plantings.
• Mows, weed-eats/edges, and removes snow using equipment.
• Order and pick up supplies as needed.
• Performs room set-up for events and moves furniture and equipment.
• Assists with custodial tasks such as cleaning, disinfecting and trash disposal.
• May travel to other campuses or work other shifts if needed.

Job Duties

• Maintains grounds to insure the proper time to care for plants, water, reseeds all landscape and grounds plantings such as grass, trees, shrubs and flowers.
• Maintains related landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment. Mows, weed-eats/edges, and removes snow utilizing mowing machines and other equipment.
• Order and pick up supplies as needed.
• Performs room set-up for events, assembles and delivers furniture, and moves and/or hauls equipment/furniture as needed.
• Includes custodial work as needed such as cleaning, disinfecting, floor maintenance, and trash disposal.
• Assists with routine maintenance on campus.
• May have to travel to assist at other campuses or work other shifts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

1 to 2 years Experience Preferred.
