The City of Fort Lauderdale is seeking a grounds maintenance crew leader with CDL (Class A or Class B with air brakes). The role performs progressive grounds duties, with emphasis on tree trimming, in municipal parks and streets. Incumbents typically supervise a crew and ensure timely completion of work orders.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of related equipment experience, and possible CDL endorsements. Ability to respond to emergencies is required.
This position requires the hired candidate to have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class A or Class B with Air Brake endorsement at the time of application and upon hire. Failure to maintain an active CDL endorsement will result in separation from City employment. Performs progressively responsible grounds maintenance duties.
