Job summary

Merakey is seeking a facilities helper who travels between locations to perform groundskeeping and light maintenance tasks. The role supports the Maintenance department with duties such as moving furniture, power washing, salting, and debris removal.

Primary duties include operating weed trimmers, pruning saws, loppers, and power washers, loading and unloading, and keeping sites clean and safe in all weather conditions. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Travel between locations to complete groundskeeping tasks and assist the Maintenance department.
• Perform groundskeeping duties: weed control, trash pickup, debris removal, and site cleanliness.
• Operate equipment such as weed trimmers, pruning saw, loppers, power washer, and related tools.
• Shovel snow, salt walkways, and transport equipment between buildings as needed.
• Load and unload items from vehicles and maintain all equipment.
• Notify Manager of damages or restock supplies as needed.

Schedule

M - F 8:30am to 5:00pm

Position Description

The facilities helper will travel from location to location and complete various duties such as groundskeeping, moving of furniture, boxes, power washing, salting, shoveling, etc. assist the Maintenance department as needed. Other duties as assigned.

• Drive Company Vehicle from location to location in all types of conditions
• Perform a variety of grounds keeping services (pulling weeds, applying weed killer, picking up trash, clear and clean job sites of debris, etc.).
• Ability to operate equipment such as weed trimmers, Pruning saw, Loppers, etc.
• Operate a power washer to clean buildings, equipment etc.
• Shovel snow from walkways, driveways, or parking lot.
• Ability to operate a salt spreader.
• Transport equipment, Furniture, Personal belongings etc. around from building to building (Ability to operate hand truck, dolly etc.)
• Ability to load and unload from vehicle.
• Maintain all equipment.
• Cleans areas using brooms, mops, and detergents.
• Notify Manager of any damages.
• Deal with reasonable complaints/request with professionalism and patience.
• Check supplies and notify Manager if items need to be ordered.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company practice.
