Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Facilities Helper to join our Facilities division based out of Plymouth Meeting, PA. Schedule: M–F 8:30am to 5:00pm.

The helper will travel between locations to perform groundskeeping, move furniture and boxes, power wash, salt and shovel, and assist the Maintenance department. Responsibilities include operating equipment, loading/unloading, maintaining tools, and ensuring health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to occasionally exert up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle between locations.
• Perform groundskeeping tasks (weeding, trash pickup, debris removal).
• Operate equipment (weed trimmers, pruning saws, loppers).
• Operate power washer to clean buildings and equipment.
• Shovel snow, spread salt, and maintain walkways.
• Load/unload items and transport equipment between buildings.
• Maintain and inspect equipment.
• Notify Manager of damages or supplies needs.

Merakey is currently seeking a Facilities Helper to join our Merakey Facilities division based out of our office in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Schedule: M – F 8:30am to 5:00pm

Position Description:

The facilities helper will travel from location to location and complete various duties such as groundskeeping, moving of furniture, boxes, power washing, salting, shoveling, etc. assist the Maintenance department as needed. Other duties as assigned.

• Drive Company Vehicle from location to location in all types of conditions
• Perform a variety of grounds keeping services (pulling weeds, applying weed killer, picking up trash, clear and clean job sites of debris, etc.).
• Ability to operate equipment such as weed trimmers, Pruning saw, Loppers, etc.
• Operate a power washer to clean buildings, equipment etc.
• Shovel snow from walkways, driveways, or parking lot.
• Ability to operate a salt spreader.
• Transport equipment, Furniture, Personal belongings etc. around from building to building (Ability to operate hand truck, dolly etc.)
• Ability to load and unload from vehicle.
• Maintain all equipment.
• Cleans areas using brooms, mops, and detergents.
• Notify Manager of any damages.
• Deal with reasonable complaints/request with professionalism and patience.
• Check supplies and notify Manager if items need to be ordered.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company practice.
