Own process engineering for industrial wastewater treatment at advanced semiconductor fabs—from Basis of Design? PFD/P&IDs? construction? commissioning/turnover. Scope includes acid waste neutralization (AWN), fluoride/metal removal (CMP), ammonia/total nitrogen reduction, TOC reduction, oily/solvent segregation, equalization/balancing, clarification/DAF, membrane systems (UF/RO/IX/EDI/MBR), sludge handling/dewatering, and reclaim/reuse integration with UPW.
Develop/own mass balances, PFDs/P&IDs, line lists, control narratives, and set process setpoints/alarm limits (pH/ORP, conductivity, turbidity, ammonia, TOC). Size/specify tanks, pumps, mixers, blowers, chemical dosing skids, neutralization systems, coag/flake/precip trains, filters, membranes, and sludge dewatering (belt press/centrifuge). Define segregation strategies (acid/base/CMP/solvent), equalization capacity, and bypass/emergency provisions; integrate with spill/secondary containment. Coordinate BIM/VDC (Revit/AutoCAD) with Civil/Structural/MEP for tank farms, pipe racks, trenches, and double-containment where required. Interface with SCADA/PLC teams for I/O lists, interlocks, permissives, and trending; oversee FAT/SAT and functional performance tests. Field execution: RFIs, submittals, redlines, wet commissioning, sampling plans, start-up SOPs, operator training, and turnover packages (O&M, as-builts, PSSR). Support regulatory compliance: pretreatment permits, NPDES/POTW requirements, 40 CFR 403/433 applicability, SWPPP, and local discharge limits; partner with EHS on monitoring and reporting.
