Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Facilities & Utilities Co-op in Gurabo, PR to support facility operations and utilities systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will work with experienced engineers on technical projects, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to site operations and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate freshman year completed and enrolled in a bachelor's program.
• Pursuing Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Facilities or related engineering degree.
• GPA 3.0 or higher across coursework.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal English/Spanish communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of technical projects under supervision.
• Analyze utilities and data to identify trends and prepare reports.
• Participate in troubleshooting equipment, utility, or process deviations.
• Assist in root cause analysis and CAPA development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges.
• Support SOPs and documentation with accurate records.
• Follow Safety, Environmental, Quality, Compliance and HR policies.

We are searching for the best talent for Facilities & Utilities Co-op to be in Gurabo, PR.

• The Co-op term is from January to December, 2027.
• Full time requirement (40 hours per week).

Purpose:

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a motivated and analytical Facilities Co-op to join our Facilities and Utilities team in Gurabo. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting facility operations, utilities systems, technical projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance activities within a regulated manufacturing environment.

The selected candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and technical professionals, gaining exposure to project execution, data analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and operational excellence practices that support business continuity and site operations.

You will be responsible:

• Support the execution of technical projects under the guidance of Facilities Engineering and Facilities Management.
• Analyze utilities and operational data to identify trends, summarize findings, and support technical reports.
• Participate in troubleshooting activities and help investigate equipment, utility, or process deviations.
• Assist in root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and implement solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, and technical documentation.
• Ensure accurate documentation of work performed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Follow all Safety, Environmental, Quality, Compliance, Security, and Human Resources policies and procedures.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering-Electrical Engineering Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering Facilities Engineering Other related engineering disciplines, or related fields.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
