Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Gurabo, PR is seeking a motivated Facilities Co-op to join our Facilities and Utilities team for the January–December 2027 term. This full-time internship offers hands-on experience supporting facility operations, utilities systems, and continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited university is required.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.).
• GPA 3.0 or higher across coursework.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
• Team collaboration capability.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of technical projects under guidance of Facilities Engineering and Facilities Management.
• Analyze utilities and operational data to identify trends and support technical reports.
• Participate in troubleshooting and investigate equipment or process deviations.
• Assist in root cause analysis and CAPA development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support CI initiatives.
• Contribute to SOPs, forms, and technical documentation revisions.
• Ensure accurate documentation of work per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Follow Safety, Environmental, Quality, Compliance, Security, and HR policies.

We are searching for the best talent for Facilities & Utilities Co-op to be in Gurabo, PR.

• The Co-op term is from January to December, 2027.
• Full time requirement (40 hours per week).

Purpose:

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a motivated and analytical Facilities Co-op to join our Facilities and Utilities team in Gurabo. This internship offers hands‑on experience supporting facility operations, utilities systems, technical projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance activities within a regulated manufacturing environment.

The selected candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and technical professionals, gaining exposure to project execution, data analysis, problem‑solving methodologies, and operational excellence practices that support business continuity and site operations.

You will be responsible:

• Support the execution of technical projects under the guidance of Facilities Engineering and Facilities Management.
• Analyze utilities and operational data to identify trends, summarize findings, and support technical reports.
• Participate in troubleshooting activities and help investigate equipment, utility, or process deviations.
• Assist in root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical challenges and implement solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, and technical documentation.
• Ensure accurate documentation of work performed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Follow all Safety, Environmental, Quality, Compliance, Security, and Human Resources policies and procedures.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering‑Electrical Engineering Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering Facilities Engineering Other related engineering disciplines, or related fields.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
