Job summary

The Technical College of the Lowcountry seeks a Trades Specialist to perform skilled maintenance, groundskeeping, and custodial duties across college campuses. You will lead custodial staff, coordinate supplies, and assist with event setups while exercising independent judgment in daily operations.

Located on our New River Campus in Bluffton, the role involves heavy labor, ladder work, and exposure to fumes.

Qualifications

• Formal training or trades experience related to maintenance or custodial work.
• Preferred: high school diploma and 2 years directly related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Lead custodial staff and coordinate supplies, events, and breakdowns.
• Perform routine cleaning, floor care, and inventory control of supplies.
• Work independently with discretion; report significant issues to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
