Job summary

A reputable staffing firm is seeking a Facilities/Telecom Planner in Port Arthur, TX. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of maintenance experience, strong SAP skills, and expertise in planning and scheduling within the Oil and Gas sector. Responsibilities include coordinating work orders, managing schedules, and providing technical support. This role is a contract position for 12+ months and requires local candidates only.

Qualifications

5+ years of maintenance experience in Oil and Gas or petrochemical facilities.
Heavy working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
Strong experience with planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
Scheduling software definition and build experience is a plus.
Prometheus experience is preferred.
Experience with project planning software such as MS Project or Primavera P6 is a plus.
Scheduling of small to medium scale projects.
Experience with scaffolding, painting, insulating, heavy equipment operation-rigging/lifting crafts, welding, fabrication, machining work estimation and planning.
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience working in a PHMSA regulated Pipeline facility preferred.
Experience with gas compression and metering equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate development of work orders and schedules.
Creates job packs with relevant information.
Manages dispatching of work and availability of manpower.
Develops and completes weekly, monthly, quarterly look-ahead schedules for expense and upgrade work by working closely with functional supervisors, engineering and technicians.
Manages the dispatching of work and availability of manpower in coordination with supervision.
Provides technical support for personnel within the CMMS modules.
Ensures proper documentation for work orders is in place.
Identifies material requirements and interfaces with vendor and/or supply chain as needed.
Assist with development of KPI’s and produce reports on schedule compliance, with emphasis in maintenance/inspection regulatory compliance.
Assists in the writing of procedures as required. Recommends and implements training to enhance effectiveness of work activities.
Assists on budget development as required.

Position Overview

Our team is currently looking for a Facilities/Telecom Planner for a client in the Oil and Gas industry.

The Facilities/Telecom Planner coordinates the development of work orders and schedules with Operations, Facilities, and Maintenance personnel. Must possess experience with SAP. Additionally, a solid understanding of Network Systems, Security Systems (CCTV, Badging and Access), High/Low AC voltage and DC Electrical Systems, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and a background in planning are required.

Telecom Systems Include:

Business LAN- Equipment: Cisco
Wireless LAN- Equipment: Cisco
VoIP & IP Telephony- Equipment HPE/Fortinet/Cisco (Network) and Mitel (Telephony devices)
Security LAN- Equipment: Cisco
CCTV Surveillance System- Equipment Dell (Servers) as well as Milestone, Axis and Coex Synectic’s (cameras)
Facility Access Control Systems- Equipment Dell (Servers) Lenel (controllers) HID (readers)
Public Address and General Alarm (PA/GA) System- Equipment Federal Signal
Planning of maintenance & reliability programs for the client’s facilities and telecommunication systems inclusive of but not limited to buildings, grounds, fencing, LAN, radios, CCTV, and access control.
Create and maintain project and outage plans utilizing planning software.
Plans and prioritizes work for fast and efficient response, effective backlog maintenance and cost control.
Creates job packs, including all relevant information for job plans.
Coordinates the development of work orders and schedules with Operations, Facilities, and Maintenance personnel.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills)

Education and Certifications:

Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Technical Degree or similar is a plus

Experience:
