Job summary

Maverick Gaming is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform general, preventative, and emergency maintenance of the hotel facilities at West Wendover. You will address maintenance requests, log work orders, and ensure safety standards across hotel and casino areas.

Key responsibilities include planned upkeep, rapid response to guest calls, and working with tools to repair or replace equipment while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

The

Job Type Full-time The Facilities Technician will perform various tasks like general, preventative, and emergency maintenance of the hotel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform basic preventative maintenance throughout hotel and casino.
• Respond to guest calls and work orders.
• Log and follow-up on work orders and complete any necessary paperwork.
• Repair any equipment that has broken down or needs replacing.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be able to troubleshoot problems.
• Must maintain a safe work environment for his/herself, co-workers and guests.
• Must have basic math skills.
• This position must possess the ability to operate power tools and equipment following proper safety requirements.
• Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills.
• This position requires the ability to perform repairs to the equipment in the hotel, kitchen and laundry areas as well as maintaining the swimming pools to meet health code requirements and general landscaping.
• Must be detail oriented.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment. Must be able to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time, speak and hear, write, finger and feel, lift and carry up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) and occasionally more. Employee frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and endure variable temperature conditions (extreme hot or cold). Must be 21 years of age or older.
