Job summary

The State of Arkansas seeks a Skilled Tradesman to perform maintenance, installation, repair, and construction work across state facilities. The role requires expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, welding, or painting to maintain and improve infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled work in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, welding, or painting to maintain state buildings.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify issues before they become major problems.
Operate hand and power tools, and heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, or backhoes.
Maintain records of materials used, work performed, and repairs.
Collaborate with other trades professionals and agency staff to complete projects efficiently.
Provide guidance or training to apprentices or less experienced workers when necessary.
