Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Commitment to quality maintenance and workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled work in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, welding, or painting to maintain state buildings.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify issues before they become major problems.
  • Operate hand and power tools, and heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, or backhoes.
  • Maintain records of materials used, work performed, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other trades professionals and agency staff to complete projects efficiently.
  • Provide guidance or training to apprentices or less experienced workers when necessary.
