Job summary

Sagora Senior Living's Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping the community and equipment safe and appealing. You will perform routine tasks like changing light bulbs, replacing filters, painting, and basic repairs, ensuring quality living spaces for residents.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of maintenance experience, ability to lift 50–100 lbs, read and communicate in English, and willingness to work

Qualifications

• 6 months of work experience in a position handling residential maintenance items.
• Experience with sheet rock, carpentry, plumbing, painting and general maintenance.
• Thorough understanding of building and fire safety.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and communicate with residents and staff.
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and work after hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders as requested by the Maintenance Director including lighting, filters, painting, plumbing and carpentry.
• Maintain all areas of the community including grounds, fences, parking areas, and facilities.
• Maintain service equipment, power tools, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records and track repairs using the work order system.
• Conduct daily inspection of building, grounds, and equipment.
• Promote safety for residents, visitors, and staff by addressing hazards.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
