Job summary

Interface is a global flooring and sustainability leader seeking a Facilities Technician to support day-to-day operations at Troup county facilities, with occasional work for Interface teams in the Atlanta area. This role emphasizes people and public spaces and involves basic carpentry, painting, electrical and data tasks, and coordination with contractors.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, may hold a technical certificate, and possesses a clean driving record and a license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; technical certificate preferred.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance.
• 1–2 years of commercial carpentry including metal stud work and ceilings.
• Experience with carpet tile installation preferred.
• Must have license for powered industrial equipment and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support facilities functions related to people and public space.
• Plan simple layouts; execute construction tasks and related work.
• Perform commercial painting tasks as needed.
• Assemble and modify furniture systems including electrical and data.
• Inventory, protect, and transport furniture assets for reuse.
• Manage physical record retention and storage processes.
• Coordinate with contractors and liaise with maintenance on projects.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow safety rules; follow ISO procedures.
