Job summary

Logan Health is seeking a versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician to care for building systems, equipment and grounds across LH facilities and affiliates in Montana. The role requires hands-on experience across trades and the ability to coordinate with outside contractors.

Expect active involvement in preventive maintenance, safety compliance with OSHA/NFPA/EPA, and occasional snow removal. A combination of education and experience is welcome, with licenses and certifications as listed in

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a general maintenance, mechanical, plumbing or electrical field of employment preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum of one (1) of the following is required: Montana State Boilers License, EPA Certification; Driver requirements as applicable: valid license, clean driving record in 36 months, and vehicle liability coverage as per state law.
• Facilities-related licenses: Certified Pool/Spa Operators License; AED certification within 90 days of hire.
• Proven ability in all skilled trades related to facility and grounds maintenance, repairs, procedures and techniques preferred.
• Must operate a wide variety of machinery, PPE, and have working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, ASHRE safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, performs preventative and predictive maintenance and repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boiler, lighting, carpentry, flooring, vehicles, life safety and related areas.
• Performs pest management duties and pesticide applications as needed.
• Operates, services, stores and cleans assigned vehicles, machinery, equipment and tools.
• Keeps materials and labor costs in check for assigned areas.
• Acts as project coordinator with outside contractors and vendors.
• Assists with moving offices, assembling furniture, and snow removal.
• Conducts flooring installation, carpentry, drywall, painting and hanging of items as needed.
• Pursues ongoing education to stay current with technology and codes.
