Job summary

UTEC Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain buildings in Lowell, MA and nearby sites. You will handle repairs, carpentry, painting, and installations while ensuring a safe, clean environment and complying with OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities include managing work orders, assisting with emergency management, coordinating with vendors, and supporting events and capital projects. Some nights/weekends may be required to support special events or weather-related needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a facilities position.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or HVAC systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and update facilities work orders in the management system.
• Perform repairs, painting, and basic carpentry at multiple UTEC locations.
• Inspect safety equipment and assist with emergency management.
• Manage inventory, supply orders, and equipment purchasing.
• Support events setup and large capital projects as needed.
