Job summary

Walmart is hiring a General Facilities Maintenance Technician for a local store. You will perform routine maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart facilities, equipment, or fixtures, under supervision of the General Maintenance Manager.

You will inspect and repair facilities, respond to emergencies, and follow established schedules. Compensation includes a sign-on bonus in select locations and full-time benefits, with 401(k) matching and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Must maintain an excellent driving record
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, or related trades).
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Utilize work order management system to receive and document repairs.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
