Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Griffin, GA, is seeking a Facilities Technician, Maintenance to maintain facilities and equipment, improve asset uptime, and grow knowledge of Facilities Engineering systems at the Griffin facility.

The role focuses on reliability of facilities, services, machinery, and assets, with 1st shift hours (7AM–4PM) and up to 10% travel. Sponsorship and relocation are not offered. Summary Pay Range is $72,360.00–$108,540.00.

Qualifications

• Experience working with PLC logic.
• Experience maintaining factory equipment or HVAC systems.
• Experience performing basic electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities and improve manufacturing asset uptime.
• Create and maintain facility layouts, evaluating space requirements and expansion opportunities.
• Design or support the design/installation of new equipment and systems.
• Prepare installation work orders and coordinate equipment receipt and installation schedules.
• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment and system issues; obtain parts/documentation for repairs.
• Partner with manufacturing personnel to address tooling, process, and quality issues.
• Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs for hydraulics and lubrication systems.
• Evaluate equipment during run-offs and update technical libraries for machine support data.
• Build knowledge of systems integration and Facilities Engineering concepts and processes.
• Follow standards related to quality, safety, hazardous materials, and ergonomics.
