Job summary

The Facilities Technician at Vertiv in Anderson, SC will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems to keep our facility running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years facilities maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Basic computer skills; CMMS experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs on HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to facility work orders, troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime.
• Assist in equipment installations, moves, and general facility modifications.
• Monitor building infrastructure and keep spaces clean and functional.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; escort for safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Support safety initiatives and ensure equipment meets standards.
• Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and basic groundskeeping as needed.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; notify leadership for reorders.
• Follow Vertiv safety policies and promote a hazard-free environment.
