Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment on-site. The role emphasizes general maintenance and mechanical tasks without requiring an electrical background.

You will perform tasks ranging from basic wall/floor/door repairs to plumbing, painting, carpentry, and HVAC support, ensuring a safe and functional environment for operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of facilities maintenance or related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and general repair skills.
• Ability to operate hand tools and basic power tools safely.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, climbing, standing).
• Experience in commercial/industrial/office facilities.
• Familiarity with basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC support tasks.
• OSHA safety training or similar certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance and basic repairs to walls, floors, doors, fixtures.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Complete minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and replacing fixtures.
• Perform painting, drywall patching, basic carpentry, and general repairs.
• Maintain building exterior and grounds and light landscaping.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with move-ins/move-outs and workspace reconfigurations.
• Monitor building conditions and report larger repair needs or safety concerns.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
