Baldor Specialty Foods, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician III to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and system‑level troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, dock equipment, and automation‑support systems at a fast‑paced distribution facility.

This senior‑level technician resolves complex equipment breakdowns, leads root‑cause analysis, supports capital projects, and provides technical direction to lower‑level technicians to maintain continuous operational

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school preferred.
  • 5+ years facility or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience in multi‑system environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, LOTO, NFPA 70E.
  • Willingness to grow into more advanced technical work.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose advanced electrical issues including controls, relays, circuits, and panel faults.
  • Perform advanced HVAC work including refrigeration support, brazing, refrigerant checks, heating issues, and component replacement.
  • Rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Conduct advanced dock door and dock leveler repairs including operator systems.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis investigations for recurring facility failures.
  • Execute technical tasks on conveyors, automation support equipment, and mechanical systems.
  • Train and mentor Tech I and II technicians.
  • Support capital project installations and large‑scale maintenance efforts.
  • Maintain CMMS documentation with detailed failure notes and recommendations.
  • Ensure full safety compliance including advanced LOTO and electrical safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose advanced electrical issues including controls, relays, circuits, and panel faults.
  • Perform advanced HVAC work including refrigeration support, brazing, refrigerant checks (when licensed), heating issues, and component replacement.
  • Rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Conduct advanced dock door and dock leveler repairs including operator systems.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis investigations for recurring facility failures.
  • Execute technical tasks on conveyors, automation support equipment, and mechanical systems.

What we are seeking
  • High technical competency in facility maintenance.
  • Ability to lead large repairs and mentor junior staff.
  • Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret complex schematics and plans.
  • High level of ownership and reliability.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school preferred.
  • 5+ years facility or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience in multi‑system environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, LOTO, NFPA 70E.
  • Willingness to grow into more advanced technical work.
Certifications Required
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
  • LOTO training.
  • Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, mechanical) strongly preferred.
Work Environment
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and remain active for long periods of time.
  • Able to work in cold warehouse environment (36°F – 38°F).
  • Ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform repairs, use ladders, and perform various types of manual labor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
