Job summary

Pure Power Technologies Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems across automated assembly and production equipment. The role involves reading schematics, performing PM tasks, and maintaining CNC-related machinery.

You will work on high/low voltage systems, HMI controls, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams, ensuring equipment uptime and safety in a dynamic production facility.

Qualifications

  • Must read mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment (drives, motors, etc).
  • Experience with PM programs, writing work orders, and documenting tasks in CMMS.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems from 240V-480V and 110V.
  • Troubleshoot and repair wiring, switches, breakers, relays, drives, and motors on automated equipment.
  • Work with PLCs (Siemens/Allen-Bradley) using ladder logic to diagnose faults.
  • Install/repair pumps, filtration, air handling units, and bay doors; read mechanical drawings.
  • Work with chilled water systems, cooling towers, and process chillers as part of facilities maintenance.
  • Perform maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical components of CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and honing machines.
  • Read and follow electrical/mechanical diagrams and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams.

Job description

Performs the most complex troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components across all machinery, including the most complex production and facility equipment, under limited supervision.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Electrical
  • The installation, troubleshooting and repair of 3-phase 240V-480V connections with busbar cans down to single-phase 110V connections and the equipment that is run by these power ranges.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair wiring, switches, circuit breakers, relays, power supplies, drives, motors associated with automated assembly and test equipment and metal removal machinery (CNC mills, lathes, precision ID/OD grinders, precision honing machines)
  • Troubleshooting of HMI controls, preferably Siemens HMI and Mazak Mazatrol controls.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair high bay lighting(480v) and machine internal lighting and work/test bench lighting.
  • Proven experience in using and reading electrical schematics to install, troubleshoot and repair.
  • Power drops, conduit installation, wire pulling
  • Arc flash knowledge and experience
Mechanical
  • The installation, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical components associated with automated assembly equipment, Metal removal machinery (CNC mills, lathes, precision ID/OD grinders, precision honing machines)
  • Installation, troubleshooting and repair of pumps, filtration systems, air handling units, bay doors, facilities related components.
  • Proven experience using and reading mechanical drawings to install, troubleshoot, and repair.
PLC
  • Siemens/ Allen Bradley PLC experience- troubleshooting issues using ladder logic to determine faults
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair components, air lines, solenoids, and connectors
  • Industrial 250 -450-ton air compressor (air-cooled and water-cooled) experience a plus
  • Proven experience is using and reading pneumatic diagrams to install, troubleshoot, and repair.
  • Airline installs
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders.
  • Make hydraulic hoses with connectors
  • Proven experience is using and reading hydraulic diagrams to install, troubleshoot, and repair.
Chilled Water Systems
  • Basic knowledge of cooling towers, circulation pumps, filters, valves
  • Basic knowledge of process and climate chillers (screw type & centrifugal)
  • End-of-line chilled water purging and filtration systems
Facilities
  • Plumbing, office cubicles, ceiling tile, roof leaks, monitor mounting, etc
  • Data (Ethernet) drop installs
  • Working at various heights
  • Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift experience is necessary
  • Welding - MIG, TIG a plus - not a requirement
  • Able to perform multiple physical tasks daily.
  • PPE knowledge and standard use
  • EHS compliant
  • PM system experience is a must. Writing work orders, completing PM tasks on time, and documenting tasks in CMMS software.
Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or Trade School Graduate
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing machine repair experience
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical and/or engineering blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment, including drives, motors, etc.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (8–10-hour shifts), often on concrete floors.

Frequent bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, or lying under equipment for repair/inspection.

Reaching & Handling

Must be able to reach overhead, use hands and arms for precise tool handling and parts manipulation.

Manual Dexterity

High level of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills needed to use small tools and diagnostic equipment.

Must have clear vision (close, distance, color) to read manuals, wiring diagrams, and perform inspections.

Hearing

Must be able to hear machine sounds, alarms, and instructions in a noisy industrial environment.

Mobility

Must be able to move quickly and safely around machinery, across production lines, and in confined areas.

Work Conditions:
  • Exposure to noise, vibrations, oil/grease, chemicals, and machinery.
  • Must wear PPE: gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots.
  • Must be willing to work inside and outside throughout the year in the various environments presented within building facilities and/or outside grounds.
