Job summary

HeartShare is seeking a Facilities Technician II to provide comprehensive repair and maintenance services across its residences and facilities in New York. The role requires independent diagnosis and hands-on repair of building systems, with emphasis on safety and quality outcomes.

You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and equipment operation, coordinate with vendors, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands‑on maintenance experience.
• Experience with building systems and safety standards.
• Ability to diagnose and repair issues independently.
• Experience with petty cash handling and asset management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair interiors and exteriors, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Operate maintenance equipment (snow blowers, power washers, floor cleaners).
• Complete daily work orders independently and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Ensure safety protocols and report dangerous conditions to supervisor.
• Keep vehicle and tool custody, logs, and asset records up to date.
