DYCO Electronics Inc. in Hornell, NY seeks a Facilities Technician II to perform routine and preventive maintenance, coordinate external vendors, and support safe, compliant facility operations.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of building maintenance experience along with basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry skills and can work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience in general building or facility maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry tasks.
• Ability to coordinate and work with outside contractors or service providers.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsabilités

• Perform general building maintenance, including light carpentry, minor electrical work, light plumbing, and basic repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections of facility systems such as lighting, HVAC filters, restrooms, breakrooms, and emergency equipment.
• Coordinate outside vendors or contractors for facility-related repairs or services when required.
• Support minor facility projects, office moves, workstation setups, and space rearrangements.
• Assist with maintaining facility systems such as doors, locks, signage, and common-area equipment.
• Perform light groundskeeping tasks as needed (site-dependent).
• Assist with maintaining inspection logs, facility documentation, and compliance records.
• Monitor cleanliness of facility areas and coordinate with cleaning staff or vendors as needed.
• Support Safety/EHS with emergency preparedness, fire safety equipment checks, and facility walk-throughs.
• Identify facility improvement opportunities and report issues to Facilities leadership.
• Perform other facility-related tasks as assigned.
