Job Description

Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange, has an immediate opening for an experienced Facilities Technician II.

This full-time, non-exempt position will be responsible for a variety of duties related to overall facilities maintenance on a school campus. This position requires direct experience in maintaining HVAC systems.

Daily event setup and teardown, including lunch areas for the school. Work performed includes minor repairs, setup and breakdown of campus events, plumbing, and painting. Responsibilities also include maintaining all assigned campus areas to ensure a safe, clean environment for staff, students, and visitors. Work is performed in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and short turnaround times while maintaining a positive attitude. Some work will be performed off campus and includes nights and weekends.

Candidate should be dedicated to the mission of Catholic education, as envisioned in Church documents and teachings, rooted in our core principles of Honor, Glory, and Love.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Previous experience with school facilities and HVAC systems is highly preferred.

Certifications: HVAC certifications preferred.

Hourly Rate:$22-$32 based on experience.

Hours: Any of the following -

• Sunday and Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Must be willing to be flexible with shift hours.
• Must be willing to work overtime if needed.
• Off-site events during the day and/or night as scheduled.

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $22 to $32 Per Hour
