Job summary

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi is seeking a Facilities Technician responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining all BCBSMS facilities and grounds, including equipment moves and room setups. You will complete Facilities Request Forms on time, coordinate workstation relocations, teardowns, and work with vendors to ensure activities meet expectations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred, additional facilities knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with basic computer applications (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Ability to read and follow instructions and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and maintain all BCBSMS facilities and grounds.
• Complete assigned Facilities Request Forms on time and accurately.
• Coordinate and assist with workstation relocations, meeting room setups, and teardowns.
• Coordinate with facility and grounds vendors daily to ensure actions meet expectations.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as caulking, painting, minor plumbing repairs, replacing ceiling tiles, replacing light bulbs, repairing doors, and removing trash and debris from the grounds.
• Take on occasional project management duties with weekend and after-hours support to oversee projects.
• Coordinate closely with the Facilities Services Team Lead and report to the Facilities Manager.
