Job summary

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi is seeking a Facilities Technician responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining all BCBSMS facilities and grounds, including equipment moves and room setups. You will complete Facilities Request Forms on time, coordinate workstation relocations, teardowns, and work with vendors to ensure activities meet expectations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred, additional facilities knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with basic computer applications (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Ability to read and follow instructions and multi-task.

• Coordinate closely with the Facilities Services Team Lead and report to the Facilities Manager.

• Manual dexterity and the ability to work with hands.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, or snow.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 70 pounds or more and carry objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions.
• Ability to work in an occasionally noisy environment with proper hearing protection.
• Demonstrated 24/7 support mentality.
