Medina County Board of Commissioners is seeking a full-time Facilities Technician in the Maintenance Department to ensure facilities and equipment are safe, clean, and well maintained. The role includes operating CMMS, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and door repairs.

The Medina County Board of Commissioners is seeking a full-time Facilities Technician for their Maintenance Department.
Responsibilities: Ensures facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition; monitors CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Software) to ensure tasks are performed in a timely manner; performs preventative maintenance on all equipment; plows, removes snow, and salts parking lots and sidewalks; maintains heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in working order; performs minor repairs to electrical and plumbing systems; performs a variety of carpentry tasks; troubleshoots, repairs, and adjusts locks and doors; maintains hand and power tools in working condition; ensures that the shop and work areas are clean and organized; maintains fire extinguisher service schedule; moves or arranges for moving of furniture and equipment as requested.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. One (1) year general building maintenance experience. Possess valid Ohio driver’s license with good driving record. Certification(s) in craft/trade/skills. Valid 608 license preferred.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, mandatory on-call/call-in on rotating basis and seasonal overtime.

Starting Rate: $20.62/hour for Maintenance Worker I per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
$25.08/hour for Maintenance Worker II (based on qualifications and experience) per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
