Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician in Duncan, SC to perform repairs and maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. You will ensure safety for customers and maintain environmental control systems throughout the location.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with vocational training in general maintenance and the ability to operate tow motors, equipment, and basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with vocational training in general maintenance and equipment repair.
• Demonstrated ability in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities.
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment including tow motors, equipment and basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• The Facility Maintenance Technician is a key member of the team primarily responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems and environmental control systems in all departments of the location.
• Ensure a safe environment for customers so that we are returning every traveler to the road better than they came.
• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Perform installations, inspections, repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems and environmental control systems in all departments of the location.
• Do general repairs such as painting/caulking, patching walls, security hardware, roof repairs, pavement repairs, tile and floor repairs, hanging shelves, facility lighting and landscaping.
