Job summary

Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute seeks a Maintenance Technician (Electrician) to perform skilled maintenance and repair work across college facilities and grounds. You will handle electrical projects, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and related tasks as part of a facilities team.

The role requires at least three years of full-time related experience and a high school diploma or GED. Local travel between Caldwell campuses may be required, with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Three years of full-time electrical, general building maintenance, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping or related experience required.
• Formal training in mechanical, plumbing, construction, landscaping, carpentry or electrical repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of building and grounds maintenance duties including painting, plastering, plumbing, window installation, mowing and other related duties.
• Respond to work orders for repairs by performing maintenance or installations as assigned.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in the assessment of facilities and perform walk-throughs to check lighting and other systems.
