Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform routine maintenance across buildings, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks. The role requires reading blueprints, operating forklifts, and coordinating via SpaceX's work order system.

You will join a team accountable for safe, reliable facility operations. The position demands 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and willingness to work varied shifts with overtime.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have experience with construction, project management, equipment maintenance, and tenant improvements.
• Experience with plumbing systems, backflows, lift stations, sewer machines and pumps.
• Ability to read instructions and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance tasks, including non-technical troubleshooting and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or carpentry requests
• Conduct site-wide maintenance to facilities, including painting, patching walls, replacing ceiling/flooring tiles, and carpet
• Perform inspections and repairs to interior and exterior areas, including walls, floors, installed fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting
• Aid janitorial and hospitality staff with general requests for support, including moving furniture, racks/equipment, disposing of garbage using forklifted dumpster bins, and set-up and tear down of special event areas
• Manage other campus-wide operations and maintenance programs as assigned by facilities management
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts when needed
• Open, track, and resolve electronic work tickets on SpaceX’s custom work order system
• Adhere to proper safety guidelines at all times
