Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Inc. is hiring a Janitorial Technician in Gainesville, GA to maintain cleanliness of the facility and grounds, and to manage supplies and records.

The role includes coordinating with vendors and supporting blood drives, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and experience operating floor care equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license; must meet LifeSouth driving eligibility.
• Ability to operate floor care machines and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance manuals.
• Professional interaction with customers, internal and external.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and grounds daily to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate and monitor vendor work, ensure proper completion and billing.
• Coordinate ordering, receiving and expensing activities for the district.
• Prepare weekly and monthly inventory counts for the region.
• Prepare supplies needed for blood drives.
• Inspect vehicles and perform required cleaning.
