Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking a Facilities and Supplies Specialist in Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on daily cleaning and maintenance, plus ordering, receiving and expensing supplies for the district.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment. A CDL is preferred. This is a full-time position with benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and LifeSouth eligibility.
• Ability to operate floor care machines and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety/maintenance docs.
• Professional interaction with customers and staff.
• Able to multitask and prioritize work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and grounds daily for cleanliness and safety.
• Make repair and maintenance recommendations to Regional Manager.
• Coordinate and monitor vendor work and ensure proper billing.
• Coordinate ordering, receiving and expensing activities for the district.
• Prepare weekly and monthly inventory counts to reconcile regional inventory.
• Prepare supplies needed for blood drives.
• Inspect vehicles and perform cleaning as needed.
