Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Culpeper, VA seeks a Facilities Technician C (Electrician) to perform planned and unplanned maintenance on plant equipment. You will install electrical infrastructure and follow OSHA/NEC standards while ensuring safe, efficient operations.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent (or an associates degree with related experience) and be prepared for 1st shift, weekends and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 2+ years experience.
• Journeyman electrician license strongly desired; trade school training is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel; strong safety mindset.

• Work with, troubleshoot and repair plant manufacturing equipment. Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment.
• Installation of new equipment and electrical infrastructure (such as upgraded electrical panels, transformers, generators, etc.).

Job Description:

This position will report directly to the Associate Manager of Facilities, under general supervision of the Facilities Manager. The position must be available to work any shift, weekends, holidays and be on call as required.

The Facility Technician (Electrician) will work under general supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions. Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities, and production equipment, as well as perform general maintenance.

Essential Functions:

• Work with, troubleshoot and repair plant manufacturing equipment. Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment.
• Installation of new equipment and electrical infrastructure (such as upgraded electrical panels, transformers, generators, etc.).
• 6S general shop upkeep, cleaning, or organizing.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Journeyman electrician license strongly desired. Training from a trade school is a plus.
• Strong electrical experience / training in repairs in an industrial setting required.
• Proficient computer skills (such as MS Outlook, Word and Excel) desired.
• You must be very safety and environmentally conscious.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $23.80/hr - $43.99/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
