Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Facilities Technician to handle repairs and maintenance of all facilities. The role focuses on safety, security of assets, and supporting daily operations within company offices and data centers.

The candidate should have an associates degree related to project management or facilities, at least 2 years of experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and vendors. HVAC knowledge is a plus and travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in project management or related field; trades certificate preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors and vendors.
• Self-starter and team player.
• Organized and able to deliver on project plans.
• Ability to travel to various work-site locations on demand.
• HVAC knowledge and familiarity with building systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for building issues (vendor visits, climate control, emergencies).
• Coordinate large-scale repair and new facility projects with vendors; assist with paperwork and purchasing processes.
• Assist with maintaining building security and respond to emergencies.
• Monitor and replace light bulbs across facilities as needed.
• Perform basic electrical work and determine when an electrician is required.
• Assist with moves of departments and employees; dismantle/install furniture.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic EHS checks and inspections.
• Complete routine work order requests and support maintenance tasks.
