Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to support maintenance across locations, including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting tasks. The role requires independent work and physical capability for ongoing upkeep and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include inspections, scheduled maintenance, and coordinating with the Director of Facilities and site managers on priorities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of demonstrated experience in building maintenance, construction, or mechanical aptitude.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and own transportation.
• Physically capable of performing maintenance duties (stoop, bend, stand, push, pull, lift).

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across facilities (carpentry, drywall, electrical, HVAC, painting, etc.).
• Conduct regular facility inspections and document results.
• Manage construction, refurbishment, and renovations at multiple sites as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and codes.
• Provide after-hours support to sites in emergencies.
• Build and maintain good relationships with contractors and vendors.
