Job summary

O’Neil Digital Solutions is seeking a Facilities Technician I to perform routine building maintenance, inspections, and preventive tasks to keep production areas safe and efficient.

Responsibilities include operating HVAC/chiller systems, electrical and plumbing work, and communicating effectively with supervision; candidates should have strong mechanical skills, ability to lift 40 pounds, and read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED; at least 5 years facilities maintenance experience.
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing skills; PLC understanding.

• Perform preventive maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical and other systems.
• Maintain and operate HVAC/Chiller systems and related equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Assist with regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Use hand and power tools, meters and material handling equipment as needed.
• Detect faulty operations and report to supervision; ensure safety and clean work areas.

Summary

The Facilities Technician I position is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform facility inspections, detect malfunctions and needed repairs. Report on conditions affecting operations
• Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems
• Maintain, operate all HVAC/Chiller systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building automation systems and building repairs
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Assist with performing regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Other duties as assisgned

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School graduate, or completion of GED required, as well as at least 5 years of facilities maintenance experience
• Strong hydraulic, pheumatic, mechanical and industrial skills, HVAC, Plumbing and basic understanding of PLC’s
• Experience in a manufacturing environemnt is a plus
• Ability to lift 40 pounds without restriction
• Must have strong mechanical skills
• Strong knowledge of Whole House Air compressor systems and emergency backup power is preferred
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with effective time-management abilities
• Must also be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, reading specifications and drawings
• Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity

• Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner
