Job summary

Bathhouse is seeking a proactive Facilities Engineer to maintain safe, functional spaces across our spa and wellness environment. You will support daily upkeep, repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure guests enjoy a seamless, high-quality experience.

Responsibilities include inspecting interiors, maintaining HVAC, pools, saunas, plumbing and kitchen equipment, troubleshooting issues, managing repair logs, and coordinating with operations and hospitality teams.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in trades (plumbing, carpentry, electrical) or similar.
• ~4 years in facilities maintenance or building operations (hospitality or spa environment a plus).
• Comfort with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and prioritize tasks without constant supervision.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of interior and exterior areas to identify maintenance needs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, pools, saunas, steam, plumbing, and kitchen equipment.
• Troubleshoot and complete repair projects efficiently and safely.
• Maintain clean, organized back-of-house and mechanical spaces.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and communicate timelines clearly.
• Track and manage repair tickets and update work logs accurately.
• Assist with equipment setup, replacements, and improvement projects.
• Support safety procedures, including employee safety training and emergency protocols.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts; notify leadership when restocking is needed.
• Collaborate with operations, housekeeping, and hospitality teams to support facility standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Apprenticeship experience in trades such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, etc.
• ~4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a similar role (hospitality or spa environment a plus).
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and prioritize tasks without constant supervision.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs and perform essential physical duties.
• Certifications such as Certified Pool Operator, CPR, and First Aid are a plus (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-touch environment with a hands-on approach.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Hourly Rate: $35 - $37/hour.
