Job summary

Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire in Georgia is seeking a General Trades Tech 3 for East Central Regional Hospital to perform a range of building trades tasks. The role supports the maintenance and construction of state facilities, with on-site duties in Augusta and a day shift.

Under broad supervision, you will install and maintain security, climate control and related systems, with potential 24 on-call availability as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level General Trades Tech 2 (FET031) or position equivalent.--Note: Some positions may require area-specific certifications/licenses.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of semiskilled and skilled building trades work in the repair, maintenance or construction of state buildings and related structures.
• Installs and maintains security, climate control and other facilities systems.
• Note: Position may require 24 on-call availability.
