Job summary

Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Race Course seeks a Facilities Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and installations ensuring continuous and safe operation of the property. The role includes HVAC/electrical/plumbing support, safety compliance, and coordination with multiple departments.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and nonscheduled repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery and related equipment.
  • Assist in maintenance on the Race Track as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance with building maintenance and cleanliness tasks.
  • Submit requests for expenditures for repairs, upkeep, and improvements to the Manager of Facilities.
  • Support exterior grounds activities including snow removal and landscaping.
  • Assist sanitation processes including pest control.
  • Perform painting and structural repairs to buildings and furnishings.
  • Support maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and water distribution.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and safety for Hollywood Gaming.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with laws and policies.
  • Interact across departments and be a team player.
  • Monitor water system controls.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and nonscheduled repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, equipment, and/or associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property.
  • Assist in maintenance related items on the Race Track, when needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance in conjunction with all building maintenance and/or cleanliness related items.
  • Submit requests for expenditures associated with repairs, upkeep, and improvement to the Manager of Facilities.
  • Directly or indirectly support all exterior grounds activities, including snow removal, grass cutting, landscaping, the parking garage, and other exterior area needs.
  • Support all sanitation processes and procedures including rodent and pest control.
  • Perform painting, structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, wallpaper and treatments, and furnishings of buildings.
  • Directly or indirectly support the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, water distribution, fire suppression and sewerage facilities, fresh water pumping station.
  • Accountable for OSHA compliance at Hollywood Gaming; act as an active participant in safety compliance.
  • Implement and monitor controls designed to assure full compliance with all federal, state, corporate and property laws, policies and/or mandates.
  • Interact effectively and positively across departmental lines; be a team player.
  • Monitor control systems for building and related water system.
  • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Other duties, as needed.

Education and/or Experience

Two years related experience and/or training preferred; High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations. Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
