Job summary

Sugarbush Resort is hiring a Lift Maintenance Assistant to help the maintenance team as a trainee. The trainee will assist in cleaning, sandblasting, and painting parts of all lifts. Other tasks include the safe operation of lifts for work crews.

Some small repairs and lubrication will also be performed under supervision of a senior technician. Assistant will maintain tools, equipment and shop work areas. Shifts are four 10-hour days until the end of the fall.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prefer lift operation experience and basic mechanical skills.
• Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate 4 wheelers and Sugarbush chair lifts safely.
• Work outside in varying weather conditions.
• Work weekends and holidays.
• Stand on uneven ground.
• Move between worksites on foot or with ATVs.
• Perform very heavy lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Climb stairs and ladders; manage noise in work areas.

Position Summary

Sugarbush Resort is hiring a Lift Maintenance Assistant to help the maintenance team as a trainee. The trainee will assist in cleaning, sandblasting, and painting parts of all lifts. Other tasks include the safe operation of lifts for work crews. Some small repairs and lubrication will also be performed under supervision of a senior technician. Assistant will maintain tools, equipment and shop work areas. Shifts are four 10-hour days until the end of the fall. This position is full-time seasonal starting at $18/hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Must operate 4 wheelers, all Sugarbush chair lifts, hand and power tools.
• Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions, i.e., rain, snow, wind, cold and/or heat.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand on uneven ground.
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently to different worksites on foot or equipment including ATVs.
• Ability to perform very heavy work involving exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and lesser weights more often.
• Ability to lift above shoulder level. Ability to use hands for grasping and manipulating for long periods of time. Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders. Ability to withstand noise, such as from lift motor rooms and other heavy machinery.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Preferably would have lift operation experience and basic mechanical skills.
• Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
