Job summary

Neuralink is seeking a Facilities Technician in California to help maintain our critical infrastructure. You will perform routine maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems, following SOPs and preventative plans to keep facilities reliable.

The role requires lifting, operating lifts, and working from ladders as needed. Ideal candidates will have basic trade experience, strong reading of technical docs, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work all shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and general physical requirements.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights with ladder.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
  • Follow SOPs and maintenance plans for preventative maintenance.
  • Conduct site-wide maintenance including painting, patching, and flooring updates.
  • Assist janitorial and hospitality staff with moving and setup for events.
  • Manage site-wide operations and maintenance programs as assigned by facilities management.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed.
  • Open, track, and resolve work orders in a CMMS.
  • Adhere to electrical and mechanical safety standards.

  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine building maintenance tasks to systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or carpentry
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) or maintenance plans in order to perform preventative maintenance
  • Conduct site‑wide maintenance to our facilities, including painting, patching walls, replacing ceiling/flooring tiles, and carpet
  • Aid janitorial and hospitality staff with general requests for support, including moving furniture, racks/equipment, disposing of garbage using forklifted dumpster bins, and set‑up and tear down of special event areas
  • Manage other site‑wide operations and maintenance programs as assigned by facilities management
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed
  • Open, track, and resolve work orders on a CMMS
  • Understanding and adherence to electrical and mechanical safety
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a professional trade that demonstrates a basic understanding of tools and their uses; ability to apply those fundamentals
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills
  • Self‑motivated, works well with others and autonomously
Texas Hourly Range

$20.67 - 30.10/hr USD
