Job summary

Neuralink is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the mechanical, electrical, and building automation systems that underpin our cutting-edge laboratories and offices in San Francisco. You will perform routine maintenance, operate lifts and equipment, and collaborate across teams to keep facilities safe and reliable.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work extended hours.

Qualifications

  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
  • Follow SOPs and maintenance plans for preventative maintenance.
  • Carry out site-wide repairs such as painting, patching walls, ceiling/flooring tiles, and carpet.
  • Assist janitorial and hospitality staff with setup, moving equipment, and event support.
  • Manage site-wide operations and maintenance programs as assigned by facilities management.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed.
  • Open, track, and resolve work orders in a CMMS.
  • Adhere to electrical and mechanical safety standards.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work all shifts and available for overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, including the use of a ladder
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine building maintenance tasks to systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or carpentry
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) or maintenance plans in order to perform preventative maintenance
  • Conduct site-wide maintenance to our facilities, including painting, patching walls, replacing ceiling/flooring tiles, and carpet
  • Aid janitorial and hospitality staff with general requests for support, including moving furniture, racks/equipment, disposing of garbage using forklifted dumpster bins, and set-up and tear down of special event areas
  • Manage other site-wide operations and maintenance programs as assigned by facilities management
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed
  • Open, track, and resolve work orders on a CMMS
  • Understanding and adherence to electrical and mechanical safety
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a professional trade that demonstrates a basic understanding of tools and their uses; ability to apply those fundamentals
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills
  • Self-motivated, works well with others and autonomously
Hourly Range:

$20.67 - 30.10/hr USD
