Job summary

Regional West is seeking a Facilities Technician to join the Facilities Management team in SCOTTSBLUFF, NE. The role focuses on minor renovation projects and implementing interim life safety measures, including ICRA barriers for ILSM, to support patient care facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and experience in basic construction tasks with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years construction experience including sheetrock work and ceiling grids preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Demolition of walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, hardware.
• Evaluate sheetrock demolition for access to plumbing clean outs and HVAC ducts.
• Patching drywall, base trim, minor painting, tile repairs.
• Assist with installation and repairs of fire/smoke doors and hardware.

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Technician to join our team in the Facilities Management. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for minor renovation projects, will implement interim life safety measures for minor projects, as well as ICRA barriers for ILSM, within Regional West Health Services and its associated facilities. Your work will directly impact the quality of care we provide to our patients and the overall success of our organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license required

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years construction experience including sheetrock work, installation of ceiling grids along with metal stud walls, with experience in 1-2 hour barrier walls for projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities:

• Demolition of walls, ceilings, flooring (to include floor and carpet) doors hardware
• Evaluate sheetrock demolition for access for plumbing clean outs and access to HVAC ductwork
• Skills including patching drywall, cover base, trim work and minor painting, repairs to floor tile, and ceiling title
• Collaborate to assist with the installation and repairs of fire doors, smoke doors, door hardware to include locks and keys
