The Facilities Technician will be responsible for general services for FCCI including but not limited to, building care and maintenance, event set-up, and Campus Operations support. Additional responsibilities include conducting periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required, completing daily, weekly, monthly and annual Service Tickets, and maintaining all equipment necessary to perform work.

Specific tasks could include; painting, pressure washing, cleaning, organizing, trouble shooting, repair, project management and furniture moving with hand equipment assistance.

In-house and professional training provided in HVAC, Electrical, and Building Automation System software.

This position will be in our corporate office in Sarasota, FL. Great work hours = 7:30 - 4:30 (Monday through Friday); on-call once a month, or approximately every five weeks. Uniform shirts provided. Travel to FCCI regional site locations for preventative maintenance may be required 1-2 times per year.

The salary range for this position is $18.58-$28.62 hourly. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience

Required

• One year of relevant experience.
• Basic working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, de-mountable wall systems, and/or modular furniture.
• Solid working knowledge of OSHA and safety procedures.
• Hands on experience preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying various finishes to walls, ceilings, and other structures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making.
• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments and work at heights while performing maintenance tasks.
