Job summary

Ultradent, a global name in oral health, seeks a Facilities Technician II in Salt Lake City, UT to perform routine operations, maintenance and repairs on the physical plant and keep work areas clean and safe. The role follows inventory control procedures and PPE requirements while delivering courteous, accurate service to customers.

Responsibilities include painting, refurbishing, general repairs, preventive maintenance and occasional vehicle upkeep. Winter snow removal is included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years facility and maintenance experience or similar construction experience.
• Familiar with power tools and safety requirements.
• Basic math and computer skills needed.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must have strong people skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in varied conditions and heights.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance duties, such as fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work and appliance repairs.
• Performs painting and refurbishing projects.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance.
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
• Assists with snow removal during winter.
• Works in a safe manner to prevent injury to self and others.
• Does routine maintenance on company vehicles when assigned.
• Maintains the buildings utilizing skills including framing, sheetrock, painting, flooring and other daily maintenance tasks.
• Maintains building equipment through preventative maintenance program.
• Picks up and delivers materials as needed.

Ultradent, a global name in oral health, has seven state-of-the art facilities that covers close to a million square feet of space that houses manufacturing operations, cGMP space, shipping facilities, print shop, machine shop, analytical/quality control laboratories and corporate offices.

We are looking for a Facilities Technician II to be responsible for performing routine operations, maintenance and repairs on physical plant systems/components and maintaining clean work/shop areas to help keep these facilities running. This position will follow inventory control and part procurement procedures while maintaining a safe work environment and wearing appropriate PPE. The technician is also responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate and timely service!

Important job responsibilities:

• Performs general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work and appliance repairs.

• Must be prepared for moderate to heavy physical effort; being exposed to the elements (heat, cold, rain, snow); work in areas with hazardous equipment and moving parts; work on roof tops and other high places
• Must have ability to set up and climb ladders safely with tools and equipment necessary for assigned work
• Must be able to walk, stand and stoop for an extended period of time (over 80% of the time)
