Job summary

Arcadia Beverage is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain plant equipment and oversee safety programs in our North Carolina facility. You’ll work on ammonia refrigeration, boilers, wastewater systems, and CMMS-driven maintenance planning, ensuring reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in food/beverage manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and facility management practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment and systems (Ammonia Refrigeration, Boilers, Compressed Air Systems, Waste Water Treatment).
• Conduct regular inspections of facility equipment and address issues proactively.
• Assist in development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures using the MaintainX CMMS.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.
• Support safety and compliance programs and maintain records for OSHA compliance.

Available Shifts

• Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Wednesday - Sunday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Overtime available

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment and systems (Ammonia Refrigeration, Boilers, Compressed Air Systems, Waste Water Treatment, etc.), ensuring optimal functionality, and maintaining regulatory requirements
• Conduct regular inspections of facility equipment (Fire Extinguishers, Eye Wash stations, Dock Equipment) to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures using the MaintainX CMMS system
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
• Support the implementation of safety and compliance programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and other applicable standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repair needs to ensure equipment reliability and OSHA compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure facility needs are met and operational efficiency is achieved.
• Assist in emergency preparedness planning, ensuring response strategies are up-to-date and effective.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility operations and safety performance.
• Ensure safety, quality, and food safety by following company rules and standards, enforcing the requirements, and communicating violations or concerns to the leadership team.

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant certifications are a plus but not required.
• Experience in facilities maintenance, especially within the food and beverage sector or a manufacturing environment.
• A solid understanding of OSHA regulations and facility management practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• The ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure facility and compliance objectives are met.
• Familiarity with maintenance management tools and software.

The Pay

$27.00 - $30.00 per hour

The Interview Process

• Initial phone screen with our human resources department
