Job Description / Position Overview

The Facilities Technician oversees the day-to-day operations and long-term upkeep of the organization's physical environment. This includes managing routine maintenance, repairs, security, janitorial services, space planning, and regulatory compliance. The role ensures that facilities are safe, efficient, and conducive to productivity for all occupants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily facility operations across all sites as main point of contact.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules (Internal MR Requests) and service contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Supervise facility staff and external service providers.
  • Monitor facility budgets and optimize operational costs.
  • Lead space planning and workplace improvement initiatives.
  • The Facilities Technician must collaborate with the Maintenance Project Manager to coordinate project activities with ongoing operations. Both roles are jointly accountable for delivering weekly status reports to the Vice President of Operations and the COO, providing a comprehensive view of facility performance and project execution.
  • Respond to urgent facility needs and support special initiatives as they arise.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance engineering, or operations leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, automation technologies, and production equipment.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work across multiple locations.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; College degree or industry accreditation preferred.
  • 5 production, or warehouse in a manufacturing environment, and 5 years experience managing general contract projects.
  • Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language.
  • Knowledge of Good manufacturing processes (GMPs).
