Job description

Job Title: Facilities Technician

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a reliable Facilities Technician to maintain our 17-building complex and support over 900 employees. The facilities team collaborates closely with Engineers to meet various program needs. The successful candidate will gain experience across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, woodworking, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs across multiple trades
• Support facilities operations outside of core business hours as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficiency in MS Office, email, and spreadsheets
• Willingness to work outside regular hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of trades
• Willingness to travel
• Experience with Preventative Maintenance

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or hold up to 40 pounds
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

Salary Range

$33,500 - $52,500, commensurate with education and experience. Salary may vary based on location, qualifications, and market conditions.
